Dato Lee Yee Cheong led a delegation of AETDEW Malaysian Fellows, Louis Tay, AETDEW Secretary-General, Lawrence Tan, AETDEW Treasurer, Ewe Hong Tat, AAET President/UTAR University President, TAN Chee Fai, Honorary Secretary, Institution of Engineers Malaysia and Lai Soon Onn, UTAR Director International to Guiyang Guizhou Province China on 29 May 2024 to witness the launch of the Xiaomi led Next Generation Intelligent Hardware Technology Industry-Education Integration Community in its AI Internet of Things Training College in Smart Communication, Smart Home Appliances (including robots for the aged and the handicapped) and Smart Electric Vehicles to train faculty members and students of 300 Technical Universities (by end 2024) in China. They also witnessed the signing of the China Community and the AETDEW ASEAN Industry-Education Integration Alliance to help the China Community set up their first Overseas AI Internet of Things Training College for ASEAN Engineers in UTAR Malaysia.
