AETDEW Deputy President Dato Yong Ah Huat and Academician Dato Lee Yee Cheong visited the amazing Xiaomi Car Factory in Beijing on 10 October 2025. The visit was arranged by AETDEW Fellows Xie Ou and Qi Yuansheng. AETDEW Xiaomi Director Yong 雍德钰 welcomed the visitors. Dato Lee Yee Cheong took the opportunity to discuss the progress of the Xiaomi led Next Generation Intelligent Hardware Technologies Industry-Education Integration Community. He congratulated them on the great progress of the project inside China and urge them to start the subproject for overseas cooperation with AETDEW starting with Malaysia and Indonesia. He urged them to visit UTAR in Malaysia as soon as possible and to start communicating with AETDEW Fellow Heru Dewanto of Indonesia. AETDEW Yong informed Dato Lee of the China Community Annual Conference in April 2026 in Chengdu. He would welcome the active participation of AETDEW Fellows.
