On 15 January 2024, the opening ceremony of the one week visit of 3 Malaysian Villages leaders and university students to Beijing together with the three receiving Beijing villages leaders was held in BTBU Beijing. The visit was arranged by two Universities, BTBU China and UTAR Malaysia, and AETDEW. UTAR President AETDEW Academician Ewe Hon Tat and AETDEW President Dato Lee Yee Cheong addressed the opening ceremony online.
